Mohbad: Naira Marley Losses Half A Million Followers

Nigeria music artist, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has lost half of a million followers on Instagram, one week after his former signee, Mohbad, died in a very controversial circumstance.

Naira Marley who had 7.5 million followers on Instagram saw the number nosediving after footages showed the series of harassment and assault Mohbad suffered at his hands and that of his friends.

Currently, more than 500,000 people have unfollowed the ‘Issa Goal’ crooner bringing the number of followers down to 7 million in what seemed like a coordinated action by the aggrieved fans of Mohbad.

Though, no evidence yet has directly nailed Naira Marley as the killer of Mohbad but clips which have gone viral on social media after the artist died last week Tuesday have done little to spare the singer from the wrath of the majority of grieving music fans, who are calling for thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, police on Monday officially commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death. The deceased’s father, family members and witnesses were with the Lagos state commissioner of police for the commencement of probe.
