The Federal Government has changed the day of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings from the traditional Wednesday, to Monday.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this to State House correspondents on Monday, after a meeting of the council, presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
President Tinubu on Monday, October 16, reconvened the FEC meeting, 32 days after the inaugural cabinet session held on August 28.
FEC meetings were held weekly by previous administrations including the immediate-past administration, led by Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking with State House correspondents, Idris said the cabinet meetings may not be held weekly as was the tradition, until there are pressing issues to discuss.
Earlier, the President swore in and inaugurated three ministers recently confirmed by the Senate – Balarabe Abbas Lawal (Kaduna), Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Kwara) and Ayodele Olawande (Ondo).
