Court Reinstates Abia Rep Member, Amobi Ogah

The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos, on Friday, nullified the ruling of the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, which removed the lawmaker representing Isikwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency in Abia State, Honourable Amobi Ogah.

Recall that the tribunal had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to immediately withdraw the certificate of return issued to Ogah and re-issue same to Onyejeocha who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC at the election.

But the Appellate court on Friday, said that the appeal of the Labour Party candidate was meritorious and allowed same, thereby setting aside the ruling of the lower court.
