Estonian Prime Minister Affirms Solidarity with Ukraine Ahead of Zelenskyy Meeting

Stenbock House, 10 January 2024 – In anticipation of the upcoming meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas expressed unwavering support and belief in Ukraine’s victory during the ongoing full-scale war of aggression by Russia.

Prime Minister Kallas, speaking from Stenbock House, emphasized the resilience and courage displayed by Ukraine since the onset of the conflict. “Every day, we witness Ukraine’s determination in the face of adversity. It is an honor for me, and I believe for all Estonian citizens, to welcome President Zelenskyy to Tallinn,” stated Kallas in anticipation of the crucial meeting.

“Estonia stands firmly behind Ukraine, believing in its ultimate victory. It is imperative that we extend our support to Ukraine for as long as necessary and in whatever capacity required for its triumph. These are pivotal moments, and we must maintain our focus. Allowing aggressors to flout international law and dictate the rules jeopardizes global stability, leading us into a far more perilous world,” Prime Minister Kallas underscored.

The upcoming meeting between Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and President Zelenskyy signifies Estonia’s commitment to standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine during these challenging times. As the two leaders convene, the world will be watching closely, hoping for a united front in the pursuit of peace and justice.
