Uganda and Uzbekistan have formalized their commitment to establishing diplomatic relations through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U). The historic event unfolded on the sidelines of the ongoing 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Uganda, Hon. Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakar, and H.E. Bakhromjon Aloyev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, came together to ink the M.O.U.
