Despite warnings from police authorities in Lagos State against any planned protest, a human rights group known as the “Take It Back Movement” has taken to the streets to protest against the soaring price of food and the high cost of living in the country.
The protesters were seen at the Ojuelegba under bridge area of the state, carrying placards with various inscriptions to express their grievances about the current economic hardship across the nation.
In related news, organized labour is set to commence a two-day protest tomorrow, as the administration of President Bola Tinubu appears to be struggling with how to address the current economic challenges.
