President Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Uphold Hope and Patriotism During Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations

In a solemn gathering of Muslim faithful at the Eid Ground in Dodan Barracks, Lagos, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, urging Nigerians to maintain faith in his government and uphold their patriotism.

Speaking to journalists after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers, President Tinubu emphasized the significance of extending the values of sacrifice and resilience beyond the fasting period, urging citizens to prioritize love for their country. He stated, “The resilience and sacrifice that we have shown and made during these months should be preserved. Be a kind and cheerful giver. We must love our country more than any other country because that is the only one we have.”

Highlighting the importance of hope in national development, President Tinubu asserted, “The Renewed Hope Agenda is alive, well, and fine, and Nigerians should continue to be very hopeful. Without hope, there is no salvation. Without hope, there is no development. Without hope, there is no life. Eid Mubarak.”

He called on leaders to uphold their oaths of office and work towards alleviating the suffering of the less privileged. “Let us not forget our brothers and sisters in Gaza and other areas of conflict,” he emphasized.

The Chief Imam offered prayers for President Tinubu, the Lagos State government, and the nation, seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and protection for all.
