Finidi George Officially Appointed as Head Coach of the Super Eagles

LAGOS, NIGERIA – The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the appointment of Mr Finidi George as the new head coach of the Super Eagles, the national football team of Nigeria.

The announcement was made in a statement released on Monday. The NFF Board approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Committee to hand over the coaching reins to George, a former forward for Ajax Amsterdam and Real Betis.

At 52 years old, George brings a wealth of experience to the role, having had a successful career in European football. His appointment is seen as a significant move by the NFF in their ongoing efforts to enhance the performance of the Super Eagles on the international stage.

The NFF expressed confidence in George’s ability to lead the team, citing his extensive experience and understanding of the game. The federation believes that his leadership will bring a fresh perspective and new tactics to the team, potentially leading to greater success in future competitions.
