Mass Protesters Gathers At Moshood Abiola Stadium In Abuja

A mass of protesters started flooding the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Thursday morning, the designated venue of the protest called by some Nigerians against the prevailing economic situation in the country.

They want the federal Government to urgently address the challenges of hunger and the high prices of food items.

The protesters have complied with an Abuja high court order restricting their demonstration to the MKO Abiola Stadium.

 

The protesters gathered as early as 6 a.m., chanting and singing solidarity songs.

The stadium has seen the deployment of armed security personnel.

The protest, which is scheduled to last for 10 days from August 1 to 10, was organized by activists and various groups
