President Tinubu Congratulates D’Tigress on Historic Feat at 2024 Paris Olympics

In a proud moment for Nigerian sports, President Bola Tinubu warmly congratulated Nigeria’s D’Tigress for their historic qualification for the quarter-final of the women’s basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This achievement marks the first time an African basketball team has reached the quarter-finals at the Olympics.

President Tinubu lauded the team’s exceptional display of resilience, teamwork, and diligence. “Your uncommon demonstration of resilience, teamwork, and diligence has brought immense pride to our nation,” he stated.

The President also extended his commendations to the coach and the managerial staff for their dedication and hard work. “I commend the coach and managers of D’Tigress for their dutifulness and dedication, which have been crucial to this success,” he added.

In his message, President Tinubu urged the team to maintain their focus and strive for ultimate victory. “I enjoin the brave Tigress not to rest on their oars until the final victory is won.”

He assured the team and the entire Nigerian contingent at the 2024 Olympics of his unwavering support as they continue to represent the nation on the global stage. “You have my full support and the support of the entire nation as you fly our flag high at this prestigious event,” the President affirmed.
