The once-unbreakable bond between the Psquare brothers seems to be unraveling at an alarming rate. Peter Okoye, famously known as Mr. P, took to X (formerly Twitter) to air some serious grievances against his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy. In a lengthy and emotional thread, Peter accused Paul of discrediting his contributions to the iconic duo, Psquare, and painting a false narrative in recent interviews.
In his post, Peter lamented how Paul has consistently tried to undermine his efforts by claiming he was responsible for 99% of their hits. “You never acknowledged the other songs like ‘Get-Squared,’ ‘Bizzy Body,’ ‘Personally,’ ‘Roll It,’ ‘Temptation,’ ‘Alingo,’ ‘More than a Friend,’ ‘Shekini,’ ‘Say Your Love,’ ‘Gimme Dat,’ ‘Senorita,’ ‘IGBEdu,’ and a few others. Were these songs also considered failures as well?” Peter wrote, clearly hurt by Paul’s actions.
Peter also shed light on the ongoing tensions, revealing that the issues go beyond music. “You have disrespected my wife, disrespected my family, disrespected my talent, disrespected my ideas, and even sided with Jude when he was clearly trying to oppress me,” he said. The tweet has sent fans into a frenzy, with many expressing disappointment in the brothers’ continued public fallout.
But it wasn’t all negativity from Peter, who ended his post with a hopeful, albeit bittersweet, note: “I genuinely wish you nothing but the best, bro!”
As if the drama between the brothers wasn’t enough, Peter teased that he would address another brewing issue involving the EFCC later in the day, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
The once-dominant African music duo is now a shadow of its former self, with fans left wondering if Psquare will ever truly reconcile or if this is the final nail in the coffin of their relationship.
