Chelsea’s Jackson Hits Back at Mikel Obi

Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson responded sharply to criticism from former Chelsea player Mikel Obi, telling him to “shut his mouth.” Mikel had criticized Jackson for missing too many chances in Chelsea’s recent match against Manchester City and suggested that the club might consider signing Victor Osimhen instead.

After scoring the opening goal in Chelsea’s 6-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Jackson took to social media to address Mikel’s comments. He posted on Instagram, saying, “Mikel Obi, shut your mouth, don’t talk sh*t, we are killing ourselves for Africa.”

Jackson’s goal was Chelsea’s fastest Premier League goal since 2017, and he celebrated it during the match at Molineux. Mikel, 37, had earlier criticized Jackson’s finishing skills during Chelsea’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City, saying the club needs a top striker who can consistently score goals.

Chelsea is set to face Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, September 1, in the third week of the Premier League season.
