LAGOS, Nigeria (AChatnewsTV) — Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has responded to a legal threat from an InDrive cab driver, Francis Njoku, after a dispute over the delivery of a package escalated into public accusations and social media backlash.
The disagreement began when Ade accused Njoku of refusing to deliver a package she had ordered, claiming the driver ended the trip before reaching her and ignored her calls. In a post on Instagram, Ade called out the ride-hailing service for failing to respond to her concerns.
“One of your drivers has stolen my package,” Ade wrote on Wednesday, tagging InDrive. “He ended the trip before getting to me and is not picking up calls.”
Her post quickly went viral, leading to widespread condemnation of the driver on social media. However, Ade later shared an update stating that the package had been delivered after the company locked Njoku’s profile.
Screenshots shared by the actress revealed heated exchanges between Njoku, Ade, and her fashion designer, who had sent the package. In the messages, Njoku expressed his frustration over the social media fallout, accusing Ade of damaging his reputation and threatening legal action.
“You have made nonsense of my image,” Njoku wrote, adding that he had contacted his legal team. “You must render an unreserved apology and ask Instablog to pull the post down.”
In response to the threat, Ade remained firm, criticizing the driver’s behavior. “One thing about me is I don’t lie nor cheat my fellow beings,” she stated. “In my whole adult life of using services like this, I have never encountered anyone as rude, ill-mannered, arrogant, uncivilized, and entitled as Francis Njoku.”
As of now, no legal proceedings have been confirmed.
