Bobrisky Files N1 Billion Lawsuit Against VeryDarkMan for Defamation, Claims AI-Generated Audio is Fake

LAGOS, Nigeria (ChatnewsTV) — Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, accusing him of spreading false information through an AI-generated audio clip.

The lawsuit, filed by Bobrisky’s legal team, R.T. Omuvwie & Co., claims that VeryDarkMan’s viral audio clip, in which Bobrisky allegedly accuses the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of extorting N15 million to drop money laundering charges, is fabricated. Bobrisky has categorically denied the claims, calling the audio an “AI-generated fabrication aimed at tarnishing my image.”

“This clip is nothing but a blatant attempt to smear my reputation,” Bobrisky said in the statement released Sunday. “VeryDarkMan is using my name to gain social media clout, and it has caused irreparable damage to my public image, brand, and personal life.”

The letter demands that VeryDarkMan withdraw the audio and issue a public apology, to be published in two national newspapers and on all his social media platforms. Additionally, Bobrisky is seeking N1 billion in damages for the harm caused to his reputation and a written commitment from VeryDarkMan to cease making defamatory statements in the future.

The legal team has given VeryDarkMan 24 hours to comply with these demands, warning that failure to do so will result in further legal action.

“That in recent times you alleged our client in one of your trending videos on various social media platforms… reckless and unfounded statements that you cannot prove,” the letter stated. It continued by condemning VeryDarkMan for disregarding Bobrisky’s right to privacy and making defamatory claims with the intent to “self-uplift.”

Bobrisky’s legal action has sparked widespread attention, especially as this is not the first time the internet personality has been involved in public controversy.
