OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso (CHATNEWSTV) — Burkina Faso’s ruling junta has dismissed interim Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambela and dissolved the government, according to a decree issued Friday by the office of military leader Ibrahim Traoré.
The decree, which provided no explanation for Tambela’s removal, stated that members of the dissolved government would remain in their roles until a new cabinet is named.
Tambela, appointed interim prime minister in 2022 after Traoré seized power in a coup, had led three successive governments despite multiple reshuffles during his tenure.
