Nigeria Plunged Into Total Blackout as National Grid Collapses Again

Nigeria has been thrown into darkness as the national grid on Wednesday, suffered another embarrassing collapse again.

The latest collapse marks the 12th grid failure recorded in 2024, making it a historic low for the nation’s power sector.

The collapse occurred at approximately 2:9pm.

This comes after a troubling year for the power sector, which has witnessed 11 prior collapses from January to November, including three within one week in October, all of which caused widespread blackouts and national disgrace.
