Davido, the renowned Afrobeats artist, has addressed rumours regarding a $10 million payment for his performance at a wedding in India.
On Friday, Davido traveled to India to entertain guests at the wedding of Alkesh Thavrani and his partner, Sanya, in Udaipur. The artist shared videos of his arrival in the country and the extravagant welcome ceremony organized in his honour.
A celebrity blogger, Tunde Ednut, claimed in an Instagram post that Davido had been paid $10 million for the performance.
In a lighthearted response, Davido took to his Instagram story to jokingly inquire about the remaining balance of his payment, addressing the groom directly: “@alkeshthavrani where is my balance 😂😂😂.”
In a subsequent post, he added, “Received. 2025 go hear am! I need Indian passport.”
However, Davido did not explicitly confirm or deny the $10 million payment claim.
