Canadian Prime Minister Resigns

Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada has officially announced his resignation from office after almost ten years in office.

Trudeau made the announcement while to newsmen in Ottawa following pressure from top Liberal allies to step down amid a prolonged political crisis

Trudeau however said he would leave office as soon as the ruling Liberal Party chooses a new leader.
