Germany’s Nordex Group wins turbine orders from UKA, DenkerWulf, wpd

Germany’s Nordex Group has secured an order for 80 turbines from renewable energy site developer Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen GmbH & Co KG (UKA) for projects in Germany.

UKA placed the order in December 2024 for 80 turbines from the Delta4000 series, totalling a capacity of 540 megawatts, Nordex said on Thursday.

The Nordex Group said it received orders for various turbines for 15 UKA wind energy projects in six German states.

These include 64 turbines for its latest turbine type N175/6.X alone. The orders also include 13 N163/6.X turbines and three N149/5.X turbines.

Nordex will also be responsible for the service of all turbines for 20 years after the wind farms go into operation in 2026 based on a premium service contract, it said.

The Nordex Group will install all N175/6.X turbines on concrete hybrid towers developed in-house with a hub height of 179 metres, it added.

DenkerWulf orders 25 delta4000 series turbines

Nordex also announced on Thursday that by the end of 2024, German onshore wind farm developer DenkerWulf ordered 25 Delta4000 series turbines from the company for seven projects.

Starting in 2026, Nordex will supply and install eight N163/6.X turbines, 12 N149/5.X turbines, and five N133/4800 turbines for these projects, it said.

The orders also include a premium service for the maintenance of the systems over 20 years, it added.

“This extremely impressive order volume underlines how well-rehearsed and successful the cooperation with Nordex is,” said DenkerWulf chief executive Torsten Levsen.

Renewable energy firm wpd orders delta4000 series turbines

Meanwhile, Nordex announced further orders on Thursday, saying that wpd, a German developer and operator of wind and solar farms, ordered nine Delta4000 series turbines.

The order, covering three projects in Germany, includes a premium 20-year service contract for system maintenance. Delivery and installation of the turbines are scheduled for 2025, it said.

The projects include one N149/4.X turbine for the Kalletal wind farm in North Rhine-Westphalia, four N149/5.X turbines for the Diepholzer Bruch wind farm in Lower Saxony and another four N149/5.X turbines for the Gnutz wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein.
