KANO, Nigeria (CHATNEWSTV) — A Max Air Boeing 737 flight from Lagos crash-landed at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, on Tuesday at 10:57 p.m., after losing its nose landing gear tire during touchdown.
One of the passengers on board, who confirmed the incident, described the dramatic landing.
“Immediately after touchdown, the tire burst and caught fire. The aircraft then skidded to a halt on the runway,” said the passenger, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
According to the passenger, emergency protocols were swiftly activated, and all passengers were evacuated safely. No injuries were reported.
