STOCKHOLM (CHATNEWSTV) — Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi will visit Sweden on Tuesday for high-level talks aimed at strengthening defense ties, the Swedish government announced.
Nosatîi will be received at Karlberg Castle by Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson and Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin. The visit follows a Letter of Intent on defense cooperation signed during Jonson and Bohlin’s trip to Moldova in August 2024.
“The goal is to deepen and further develop our defense partnership,” Jonson said ahead of the visit.
The talks come amid Sweden’s recent proposal to donate Saab AT4 anti-armour weapons to Moldova, announced on January 30. The ministers are expected to discuss regional security and Moldova’s defense needs in light of growing geopolitical tensions.
