LAGOS, Nigeria (Chatnewstv.com) — Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has reportedly moved out of the home of her husband, Sen. Ned Nwoko, with a viral video showing the actress declaring their marriage over amid serious allegations of domestic violence.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house I am nothing, but in my own house I am a queen,” a distraught Daniels was heard saying in the video that surfaced Saturday. “Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The apparent separation follows explosive accusations from the actress’s brother, Sammy West, who alleged on social media that the senator had physically assaulted his sister.
“Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run comot send thugs!” West wrote in an Instagram post, using a mix of English and Nigerian Pidgin. “I swear I for burst all your jaw!”
In the widely circulated video clip, Daniels appears visibly distressed and is seen panting heavily as people attempt to calm her. She repeatedly claims, “Ned sent his thugs,” while struggling to catch her breath.
West, who vowed to defend women against domestic violence, is also seen in the video confronting a man during the altercation, seemingly in his sister’s defense.
Multiple attempts to reach Sen. Nwoko for comment were unsuccessful. According to Peoples Gazette, his phone line was busy and messages sent to him went unanswered.
The development marks a turbulent turn for the high-profile couple, who have previously faced public speculation about their marriage. The rumors intensified in February when Daniels removed her husband’s name from her Instagram profile and deleted many of their photos together.
In March, while celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, Nwoko appeared to dismiss the rumors in a public post. “Let them talk, let them guess,” he wrote. “While we live, while we bless, for at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows.”
