KITZBÜHEL, Austria (CHATNEWSTV) — Audi is electrifying the off-road world with the debut of its Q6 e-tron offroad concept, unveiled during the World Cup weekend in Kitzbühel. This prototype boasts an unprecedented blend of cutting-edge engineering and bold design, signaling Audi’s ambitious leap into the progressive off-road segment.
The Q6 e-tron offroad concept features newly developed portal axles, enabling it to conquer gradients of up to 100 percent. “The Q6 e-tron offroad concept is a reinterpretation of quattro,” said Audi CEO Gernot Döllner. “This vehicle can claim new ground. We look forward to seeing our customers’ reactions to this highly emotive car.”
Engineering Excellence Meets Electrification
Equipped with two electric motors generating a combined output of 380 kW, the Q6 can climb slopes as steep as 45 degrees. Audi’s advanced portal axles boost torque at the wheels by 50 percent, delivering an astonishing 13,400 Nm (9,883 lb-ft) of torque during peak performance.
While the innovative axles reduce top speed to 175 km/h (108 mph), they enhance the vehicle’s off-road prowess. An increased ride height of 160 mm (6.3 inches) and a wider track by 250 mm (9.8 inches) contribute to its striking, robust appearance.
Foundation for the Future
Built on Audi’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the Q6 e-tron offroad concept highlights the brand’s technological and sustainable advancements. “The model shows the potential that our platform for all electric vehicles already has today,” Döllner said.
The Q6 e-tron series sets new benchmarks in range, efficiency, and charging performance, establishing itself as a reference point for electrically driven Vorsprung durch Technik.
Public Debut in Action
Audi enthusiasts can witness the Q6 e-tron offroad concept in action on February 1, 2025, at the F.A.T. Ice Race. The event will also feature live coverage across Audi Sport’s social media platforms.
