RABAT, Morocco (Chatnewstv.com) — The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) announced a star-studded musical lineup Monday for the CAF Awards 2025, featuring performances from Moroccan rising star Douaa Lahyaoui, Congolese soukous legend Awilo Longomba and Anglo-Ghanaian Afrobeats pioneer Fuse ODG.
The three acclaimed artists, representing diverse generations and musical expressions, are set to celebrate African creativity and cultural diversity at the continent’s biggest football awards ceremony.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT).
Douaa Lahyaoui, one of Morocco’s most exciting vocalists, will bring her blend of Moroccan influences with modern pop and international tones to the stage.
“Her presence at the CAF Awards 2025 symbolises a new Moroccan generation confidently carrying the nation’s colours while engaging with contemporary sounds across the continent,” CAF said in a statement.
Following her performance, the festive surge will continue with Awilo Longomba, the renowned soukous artist whose anthems are considered classics across Africa. Known for his electrifying performances and trademark mix of rhythm and dance, Awilo has earned global recognition throughout his career.
“Awilo promises an electrifying performance, true to his hallmark mix of rhythm, dance and generous stagecraft,” the statement said. “His set at the CAF Awards 2025 reaffirms the central place of Congolese music in Africa’s cultural heritage.”
Completing the lineup is Fuse ODG, a defining figure of modern Afrobeats and a MOBO Award winner. The Anglo-Ghanaian star has consistently worked to elevate Afro-urban sounds on the global stage.
CAF noted that Fuse ODG, who seamlessly connects Accra and London, “embodies a generation that is open, inventive and deeply rooted in African identity as he will bring energy, warmth and lightness to a night dedicated to African football’s finest.”
The CAF Awards 2025 will honor outstanding players, coaches, teams, and officials from the review period, with a host of nominees and guests expected in Rabat for the celebration.
