Change Deletes Racial Petition Against Nigerian South African From Platform

A controversial petition calling for the disqualification of Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina from the Miss South Africa competition has been deleted by Change.org. The petition, which had garnered over 14,000 signatures, accused Adetshina of not meeting unspecified eligibility criteria.

The petition’s removal comes amidst a backlash from supporters who defended Adetshina’s right to compete. While the reasons behind the petition were not disclosed, its discriminatory nature drew widespread criticism. Many argue that such actions go against the values of inclusion and diversity celebrated in pageants.
