LONDON (CHATNEWSTV) — Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that four key players will be unavailable for his side’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Maresca revealed that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, and Romeo Lavia will all miss the game. Dewsbury-Hall, Fofana, and Badiashile are still recovering from injuries, while Lavia is working on regaining full match fitness but could return soon.
“Romeo is very close and he has started to work with us. We all consider Romeo a top player, but the most important thing for this type of player is to be fit,” Maresca said during his pre-match press conference on Friday. “There is no doubt when Romeo is fit he is a top player, we need to just understand how we can help him to not get injured.”
On the other injured players, Maresca added, “Kiernan is still out. Unfortunately, Wes will be out for a very long time and Benoit will be out at least until February.”
Chelsea will head into the match against Crystal Palace looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town in their last outing.
