The Chicago State University (CSU), has released the academic records of Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, following requests by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the February 2023 elections.
Atiku had approached the US District Court in Northern Illinois to compel the university to release Tinubu’s academic records, arguing that it would boost his suit challenging the President’s election in the February 25 presidential poll.
Judge Nancy L. Maldonado had on Saturday, September 30th, ordered the CSU to release the academic records of Tinubu to former Vice President Atiku.
According to the judge, CSU must complete all necessary filings regarding the release by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
ChatNews TV reports that the CSU complied with the court order and released the academic records of Tinubu to Atiku on Monday.
