LAGOS, Nigeria (chatnewstv.com) — A Lagos High Court has ordered social media influencer VeryDarkMan and actress Doris Ogala, along with Kelvin Chimaobi Emmanuel, to stop mentioning or referring to Pastor Chris Okafor, his church or ministry on any social media or other public platforms.
Justice M. A. Savage issued the interim order following an ex parte application filed by Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation International (Liberation City). The case is marked as Suit No. ID/14399GCMW/2026, with Ogala, VeryDarkMan and Emmanuel listed as first to third defendants.
The application was brought under Order 43 Rules 1, 2 and 7 of the High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019 and the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
In the ruling, the judge also restrained the defendants from publishing or releasing any private materials relating to Okafor, including “chats, conversations, text messages, pictures, images or videos.”
“They are barred from mentioning the claimant’s name, image or videos, or the name of his church, Grace Nation International (Liberation City), on any platform whatsoever,” the order stated.
The court granted the application as filed by Okafor’s lawyer, Ife Ajayi, and approved substituted service of the originating processes through publication in a national newspaper.
The matter was adjourned to Feb. 2, 2026, for hearing.
