Borussia Dortmund will be without defender Ramy Bensebaini in Tuesday’s Champions League last 16 play-off first leg at Sporting.
He is suffering from a muscle problem and is not travelling to Portugal, Dortmund said in a statement on Monday.
New loan signing Carney Chukwuemeka, who missed the weekend Bundesliga defeat by VfB Stuttgart, is back in the squad though and earlier trained with coach Niko Kovac and team mates.
Last season’s runners-up face a play-off having failed to finish in the top eight of the new league format.
