The Department of State Services (DSS) has remained silence over the alleged arrest of former aviation minister, Hadi Sirika.
Sirika was said to have arrived in a Range Rover SUV at the headquarters of the secret police in Abuja for questioning.
He was interrogated for several hours.
The former minister landed in the agency’s custody over the recent controversial launch of Nigeria Air.
Recall that acting Managing Director of Nigeria Air, Captain Dapo Olumide, had, later, disclosed that the plane launched as Nigeria Air was a chartered aircraft from Ethiopian Airlines.
The launch was widely viewed as a fraud. The plane that was unveiled was said to be over 10 years old and had been previously operated by Ethiopian and Malawi Airlines.
Meanwhile, despite several media reports accusing the agency—DSS of arresting Sirika, they have not openly denied or acknowledged to have arrested him.
