DSS Withdraws Fasasi as CSO To President Tinubu, Appoints Rasheed Lawal As Replacement

ABUJA, Oct. 21, 2024 (ChatnewsTV) — The Department of State Services (DSS) has withdrawn Adegboyega Fasasi from his position as Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

ChatnewsTV reports that Rasheed Atanda Lawal, a Deputy Director within the DSS, has been appointed as Fasasi’s replacement.

Details surrounding the reason for Fasasi’s withdrawal remain unclear as of the time of filing this report. However, sources suggest the change may be linked to internal adjustments within the DSS following the appointment of a new Director-General, Tosin Ajayi.

The Presidency has yet to issue an official statement on the development.
