Enekwechi Advances to Men’s Shot Put Final at Paris 2024 Olympics

Competing in his second Olympic Games for Nigeria, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has secured a place in the men’s shot put final with an impressive best throw of 21.13 meters in Paris.

Despite the automatic qualification mark being set at 21.35 meters, Enekwechi, who is experiencing the best season of his career in 2024, ensured his spot in the final with a strong initial throw of 21.13 meters. He further demonstrated his consistency with a second-round throw of 21.00 meters.

Although he fouled in the third round, Enekwechi’s performance was more than enough to advance him to Saturday night’s final, where he placed fifth overall in qualification group B.
