Estonia, the World’s First Digital Nation, Opens Latitude59 Pitch Competition Applications

TALLINN, Estonia (CHATNEWSTV) – Latitude59, Estonia’s premier startup and tech conference, has opened applications for its annual pitch competition, inviting early-stage startups from across the globe to compete for funding. Winners in the past two years secured nearly €2 million in investments.

In a press statement released on Friday by Latitude59 Press Officer Marina Bachmann, Latitude59 CEO Liisi Org described the event as most impactful and diverse startup and technology conference in the New Nordics.

“One of the main goals of Latitude59 is to showcase the strength of the startup community, and our pitch competition plays a key role in that,” Org said.

“For years, it has highlighted an exceptional level of participating startups, so we’re excited to see what this year’s contenders will bring.”

Companies such as AskToSell, Flowstep, and ÄIO received significant investments in previous competitions, backed by key partners including EstBAN, SpecialistVC, and Tera Ventures.

According to Triin Ilves, manager of startup relations at Latitude59, applications are open to startups worldwide.

“Last year, we received a record-breaking 526 applications from 53 countries—nearly 100 more than the previous year. The level of competition was incredibly high, with many applicants already securing customers, clients, and initial investments. We can’t wait to see the next wave of contenders,” Ilves said.

This year, Latitude59 is looking for startups with a clear mission, a scalable business model, and a functional product with proven traction or strong market feedback.

“But most importantly, we want teams that are making an impact and disrupting the industry with their solution,” Ilves added.

The application deadline is April 5, 2025. From all applicants, the 30 strongest teams will advance to the semifinals, where they will receive professional pitch training and mentoring. The competition will culminate in the finals on May 23, 2025, where the top five startups will pitch on Latitude59’s main stage.

Key Dates:
