Agency Report –
A prank for a bachelor party involving a fake abduction of the groom prompted a massive police operation in eastern Germany on Saturday.
In a statement released on Sunday, police said alarmed eyewitnesses contacted authorities after two masked men forced another man into a car in the city of Dresden and drove off.
Officers launched a major search operation involving a helicopter.
The investigations led police to a house in the suburb of Radebeul, where they found the 38-year-old “supposed victim” celebrating his upcoming wedding with five friends.
The curious incident could have serious repercussions for those involved, with the five German “kidnappers” facing investigations on suspicion of disturbing the peace.
