Famous Crossdresser ‘Abuja Area Mama’ Found Dead

A famous crossdresser popularly known as ‘Abuja Area Mama,’ has been found dead in the Banex, Wuse II area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

It was gathered that the crossdresser, whose full name is yet to be ascertained, was seen lying motionless along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway on Thursday morning.

Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, who confirmed the discovery of the lifeless body in a statement, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

 

The Police spokesperson explained that operatives of the Command, who responded to a distress call from the area, immediately took the man to Maitama District Hospital where doctors on duty confirmed him dead.

She said updates on the matter will be communicated in due course.
