FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2024 Final set

LEON, Mexico July 21, 2024 /ChatnewsTV/ — The pairing and schedule for the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2024 Final has been confirmed following the successful conclusion of the Semi-Finals in Leon, Mexico.

The Final will take place on Sunday July 21 at the Domo De La Feria in Leon.

Canada advanced to the Final for the first time ever after claiming a historic win over Spain in the Semi-Finals. In the championship game, they will face USA who survived an upset bid by Spain to keep their hopes of winning a third straight and sixth overall U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup title alive.

Both Spain and France finished on the podium in 2022, but now only one will be able to do the same in 2024. The two teams have an ongoing lengthy and historic rivalry, with Spain holding a slight advantage of winning 36 of their last 60 encounters at the youth level. In 2022, these two teams played against each other in the Semi-Finals of the U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup with Spain coming out on top 66-59.
