ABUJA, Nigeria (ChatnewsTV) — The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has dismissed circulating reports claiming that the agency is currently recruiting, warning the public to be cautious of scammers targeting job seekers.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, the Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, cautioned against falling for fraudulent recruitment schemes that have been spreading online.
“The attention of the FRSC has been drawn to a publication by online platforms misinforming the public about ongoing recruitment of personnel into the services of the Corps,” Ogungbemide said.
“This medium is to let the public know that the Corps is not recruiting at the moment, nor is there any ongoing arrangement to that effect.”
Ogungbemide quoted the Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Mohammed, who urged the public and aspiring applicants to ignore any fake recruitment announcements. Mohammed emphasized that the FRSC’s recruitment processes are transparent, credible, and always publicly announced through official channels.
“Our recruitment announcements are made public through advertorials and notifications on all available media platforms, including the Corps’ website, social media handles, and the National Traffic Radio,” Ogungbemide stated.
He urged job seekers to exercise caution, warning them to avoid any interaction with the scammers promoting false recruitment claims.
“The public is by this publication warned to desist from any form of engagement with the purported scammers and purveyors of the misinformation as the Corps will not be liable should anyone fall victim,” he added.
The FRSC reiterated its commitment to transparent hiring practices and stressed that any future recruitment will be widely publicized to ensure authenticity.
