Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his commitment to rural development by commissioning several key projects aimed at boosting the state’s economy and improving infrastructure. The Governor made the announcement on his official Facebook page.
“As part of our rural development drive, I commissioned the Dambatta Modern Cattle Market,” Governor Yusuf stated. He explained that this market is one of five cattle markets being modernized across the state to facilitate livestock trading and stimulate the rural economy.
In addition to the market, Governor Yusuf also flagged off the construction of the 11km Dambatta-Diggol road. “This road will open up an important commercial and transportation corridor in the area,” he said.
The Governor’s day was packed with activities as he also flagged off the construction of the Wasai-Baita road in Minjibir Local Government Area. Later, he commissioned a 5km road in Gezawa Local Government Area, which is powered by solar streetlights.
“This solar-streetlight powered road is part of our plan to beautify and improve the quality of our rural roads,” Governor Yusuf added. He emphasized that contractors have been fully mobilized to replicate similar projects in other local government areas across the state.
Expressing gratitude, Governor Yusuf thanked the people of Kano State for their support. “We shall continue to deliver for our collective good,” he concluded, assuring the public that his administration remains dedicated to implementing people-oriented initiatives that will leave a lasting impact on the state.
