A group of women in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has taken to the streets to show their support for the military rule in the state.
The uninformed women, clad in white and carrying placards with messages like “Prosecute the bombers of Rivers Assembly” and “State of emergency is constitutional,” are marching across major routes in the city.

The women are also declaring their support for Ibok-Ete Ibas, the sole administrator appointed by President Bola Tinubu. They’re singing solidarity tunes and slogans as they make their way through the city.

This comes after a different group of women protested against the emergency rule last month, calling on prominent Nigerians to intervene and restore democratic governance in Rivers State.
President Tinubu declared emergency rule in Rivers State on March 18, citing a protracted political crisis. He suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara and appointed Ibas as the sole administrator.
The women’s solidarity walk is a clear indication of the divided opinions on the emergency rule in Rivers State.
