Israeli forces have retrieved the bodies of three hostages from Gaza, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Identified as Shani Louk, Amit Buskila, and Itzhak Gelerenter, the victims were reported to have been murdered on October 7th, with their remains found in a Hamas tunnel.
Reports indicate that Hamas gunmen stormed into Israel, resulting in the unprecedented loss of approximately 1,200 lives and the abduction of 252 individuals to Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed sorrow over the news, stating, “We will return all of our hostages, the living and the deceased alike.”
The IDF conducted an overnight operation to recover the bodies, acting on intelligence obtained from interrogations of detained terrorists in Gaza. The victims were allegedly killed near the site of the Nova festival massacre in southern Israel before their bodies were transported to Gaza.
The Nova festival tragedy claimed over 360 lives, with approximately 125 hostages still unaccounted for, while others have been released or rescued.
