NAIROBI, Kenya (Chatnewstv.com) — Latitude59, the Estonian-born technology and innovation conference, is set to return to Nairobi this year with a three-day event that organizers say will bring together more than 3,000 changemakers from across Africa and Europe.
The gathering, which will run in the Kenyan capital, is expected to host 1,500 entrepreneurs, 350 investors, as well as policymakers and ecosystem leaders. Its focus will be on how digitalization and green technologies can accelerate Africa’s development goals while opening new paths for investment and scalable solutions.
“The Kenya satellite event is not just a conference. It’s where bold founders start global journeys, policymakers engage in shaping the future, new ideas get the spotlight and climate solutions take center stage,” said Liisi Org, head of Latitude59.
“With our key partners, ESTDEV and the Digital & Green Innovation Action initiative, we’re connecting continents, sparking new cross-border partnerships, and turning ideas into measurable impact.”
First launched in Estonia more than a decade ago, Latitude59 has grown from a small startup meet-up in Tallinn into a global platform for innovation and entrepreneurship. In recent years, it has expanded to satellite events in Africa, with Nairobi becoming one of its flagship hubs.
This year’s edition will feature an Investor Day, designed to connect 350 investors with African startups; a startup spotlight that includes the L59 Pitch Competition; and two days of founder-led sessions. The main stage will host conversations on artificial intelligence, green technology and impact-driven innovation, while hands-on workshops will provide tools for scaling businesses across borders.
Organizers say the Nairobi event underlines the importance of linking Africa’s fast-growing innovation ecosystem with Europe’s investment networks and policy expertise.
