Missing UNN Student Found Dead Near Male Hostel

Miss Favour Okenyi, a 100-level medical laboratory science student of University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Enugu campus, who was declared missing has been found dead.

She reportedly disappeared on Tuesday after her chemistry practical, and her body was discovered behind the Eni-Njoku male hostel on Friday evening.

The spokesman of the University, Mr Okwun Omeaku confirmed the unfortunate incident, expressing the administration’s shock and sadness.

He said that the university is working closely with security agencies and Favour’s family to unmask the circumstances surrounding her death.

Omeaku stressed the institution’s commitment to preventing such tragedies in the future and urged anyone with useful information to come forward.

“The university administration is deeply saddened by the loss of our student and extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased for the tragic death of such a promising young student. We implore anyone in possession of useful information that could aid in the investigation to kindly reach out to the university administration,” he stated.
