Social media users a.k.a Netizens mostly Oyo indigenes, have continued to congratulate and send prayers to the new Alaafin of Oyo.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, recently appointed Prince Abimbola Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo, after nearly two years of the passing of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
Oyo Affairs on its official twitter account, @oyoaffairs, shares a photo of the presentation of the instruments of office by Gov. Makinde to the new Alaafin.
They wrote: “Governor Seyi Makinde Presents instruments of office to the New Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade.”
The development has continued to generate a buzz on social media as people of Oyo kingdom and other well-wishers send in their felicitations, goodwill messages and prayers to the new monarch.
