Nigerian Court Arraigns 75 Minor Endbadgovernance Protesters, Four Collapse During Proceedings

ABUJA – A Federal High Court in Abuja witnessed an unusual scene Friday as some young defendants, aged between 12 and 15, fainted before Justice Obiora Egwuatu. The 75 minors, facing terrorism and mutiny charges over alleged roles in recent nationwide protests, appeared visibly distressed as they awaited arraignment.

Due to health concerns, the court exempted four defendants from proceedings, while the remaining individuals pleaded not guilty. Justice Egwuatu set bail at N10 million for each, requiring two sureties of equal sum for release.
