YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) unveiled their 2025 Super GT GT500 team lineups.
The announcement was made in a press statement on Friday morning.
“This season, we will take on the Super GT challenge with two new and two current driver combinations,” said Takao Katagiri, head of Nissan’s Motorsports Business Unit and president of NMC.
“Our aim is to retake the championship and build team organizations that enable all four teams to win. Major preparations for the 2025 season will begin next week, and will involve the development division and the teams working closely together to further improve the Nissan Z NISMO GT500. Like every season, we will do our best to deliver the excitement of motorsports to fans and we thank you for your ongoing support.”
Nissan will field four Nissan Z NISMO GT500 cars in the GT500 class. Team NISMO NDDP, led by team principal Jiro Shimada, will feature Daiki Sasaki and Atsushi Miyake as drivers, with Bridgestone providing the tires. Team Impul, under the leadership of Kazuyoshi Hoshino as director and Kazuki Hoshino as team principal, will be represented by drivers Kazuki Hiramine and Bertrand Baguette, also using Bridgestone tires.
For NISMO, Takeshi Nakajima serves as team principal, with Katsumasa Chiyo and Mitsunori Takaboshi driving on Bridgestone tires. Meanwhile, Kondo Racing, led by Masahiko Kondo, will feature Tsugio Matsuda and Teppei Natori, with Yokohama as their tire supplier.
Masataka Yanagida will continue in his role as executive advisor, while Ronnie Quintarelli has been appointed NISMO ambassador and advisor. Kunihiko Kakimoto, after years of service as a NISMO ambassador, has been named honorary NISMO ambassador.
