Victor Osimhen played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s 3-0 win against Kayserispor at RAMS Park on Sunday, helping the club secure their 25th Turkish Super Lig title.
The Nigerian striker opened the scoring in the 26th minute, nodding in a well-placed header from Gabriel Sera’s cross. Just three minutes later, Baris Yilmaz added a second goal.
In a touching farewell gesture, longtime captain and goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, who is set to depart the club after 14 years, was allowed to take a penalty in the final minute of regular time, which he made the third win.
With this, Galatasaray is now at 89 points, eight points clear of second-placed Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho.
It also marked a domestic double for the team, having clinched the Turkish Cup earlier in the week, with Osimhen netting twice in that final.
