President El-Sisi Reviews National Industrial Strategy Implementation

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi convened a high-level meeting to assess the progress of the National Industrial Strategy. The session included Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and key ministers responsible for industry, transport, finance, and investment.

Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, the presidential spokesman, stated, “The meeting discussed the various axes and phases for the implementation of the National Industrial Strategy, which targets the prompt enhancement of the Egyptian industry, leveraging all industrial resources available in Egypt, and unleashing the capacities and potential of both the domestic and foreign private sectors.”

President El-Sisi highlighted the urgency of overcoming challenges within the industrial sector, noting, “The current international and regional developments, while posing significant challenges, also provide opportunities to establish a robust industrial base in Egypt.”

The President directed the government to intensify efforts to localize promising industries and transfer technology, with significant private sector participation. “This will improve the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry both domestically and internationally,” he emphasized.

Additionally, President El-Sisi underscored the importance of workforce training and updating the industrial investment map to attract more investments. He also called for a thorough examination of struggling factories to develop solutions that would facilitate their re-operation and protect investments and workers’ rights.

The meeting marks a significant step in Egypt’s ambition to transform into an advanced industrial hub, boosting exports and enhancing the national economy.
