Abuja (ChatnewsTV) — Nigerian President Bola Tinubu extended his congratulations to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his re-election, expressing optimism for deepening ties between Nigeria and the United States.
In a statement released on Wednesday by Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Trump’s victory, noting it reflects “the trust and confidence the American people have placed in his leadership.” He emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to collaborating with the U.S. to address global challenges and foster economic cooperation.
“Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens,” Tinubu stated. He expressed hope that Trump’s experience as the 45th president will support a renewed era of “beneficial and reciprocal economic and development partnerships between Africa and the United States.”
Tinubu acknowledged the U.S. as a significant global influencer and voiced confidence that Trump’s leadership would help advance peace and prosperity worldwide.
