Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hosts Diplomatic Talks with Malian Counterpart

DOHA, QATAR, January 8, 2024 — His Excellency (HE) Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, welcomed HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali, Abdoulaye Diop, at his office on Sunday.

This meeting, a part of Minister Diop’s official visit to Qatar, highlighted the commitment of both nations to strengthen and expand their bilateral cooperation ties. The discussions centered on collaborative initiatives and strategies aimed at bolstering the existing diplomatic relationship between Qatar and Mali.

Key points of the talks included the exploration of various avenues to enhance mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest, as well as the identification of new opportunities for collaboration. Both parties expressed their determination to further deepen ties that promote economic, cultural, and political partnerships between the two countries.

A focal point of the conversation was the State of Qatar’s ongoing developmental efforts to support stability and prosperity in Mali. Qatar’s commitment to contributing to Mali’s progress reflects its dedication to fostering peace and prosperity in the region. The leaders exchanged insights on potential projects and initiatives that could contribute to the socio-economic development of Mali.

The cordial meeting underscores the importance both nations place on diplomacy and collaboration as tools for fostering global stability and growth. As Qatar and Mali continue to build upon their diplomatic relations, the talks serve as a testament to the shared commitment to creating a future of cooperation, peace, and prosperity for both countries and the broader international community.
