A team of twenty-three Russian engineers, who were part of the original construction team of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, has arrived in Ajaokuta to conduct a technical audit in collaboration with the company’s engineers. This visit is a key step in the anticipated completion of the long-delayed project.
As part of the upgrade, some outdated analog equipment will be replaced with modern digital systems to enhance operational efficiency.
The Sole Administrator of Ajaokuta Steel Company, Sumaila Abdul-Akaba, confirmed this development to NTA. He stated that the team has already inspected several critical units, including the thermal power plant, the light mills section, and the oxygen plant.
